Statistics show that the UK online retail market is continuing to expand, with IMRG finding that UK online shoppers spent an estimated £4.4bn during June 2010; this compares to an estimated £3.7bn spent online in the same month last year. Online sales for the whole of 2010 are predicted to reach £56bn.

According to a survey run by eCommera of 2000 people, they found that 42.6% of UK consumers buy something online at least once a week, and the average online spend per shopper is £71 per month.

IMRG and Capgemini predict that the UK online retail market will grow by approximately 110% in the next decade, reaching £123bn by 2020.

Katy Perry was invited onto the show to perform a childrens version of her song “Hot N’ Cold” with lovable red monster Elmo, which was supposed to run during a New Year’s episode. Anyway, due to complains over Katy’s cleavage, the scene was cut from the show, what a pity.

Here’s what Sesame Street’s executive producer had to say:

“We would never produce anything that we thought was inappropriate. We were surprised by not only the amount of feedback, but how fast it came in. It was a lot.”

Blue Moon Rising follows a group of Manchester City fans throughout the 09/10 season, beautifully capturing the emotions every football fan feels along the way. From the initial hope and optimism following the takeover by Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi and the ecstatic disbelief of a 4-2 win at high-flying Chelsea, right through to the depths of despair after a last minute derby defeat to Manchester United.

Manchester City’s Brand and Marketing Officer David Pullan commented: “Blue Moon Rising reinforces Manchester City’s standing as the most fascinating story in the world of football. We wanted to give football fans around the world a unique insight into the club and its future by getting them close to the action in this unique year. It will be a lasting testimony to one of the most exciting years in Manchester City’s history.”

Blue Moon Rising will combine cinematic production value and breathtaking footage with the very real human drama that defines the club and its fans. The behind-the scenes landmark feature film documentary will be Buena Vista International released to selected cinemas from Friday 17th September.

Blue Moon Rising will premiere at The Printworks in town this Thursday, 9th September. The full Manchester City squad led by Roberto Mancini will be in attendance.

The stunning film was produced by Endemol and ace documentary producer Nick London, directed by BAFTA and Cannes Grand Prix winning writer and director Stewart Sugg.
